Job summary

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience providing technical support to local/WANs including designing, installing, testing, modifying, enhancing, and maintaining a local/WAN.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field may substitute for 1 year of the required experience.
• Must successfully complete the examination process.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and upgrade network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical assistance and monitor LAN/WAN data traffic to ensure delivery to correct destinations.
• Serve as the network communications administrator and enforce data security.
• Advise management on trends in data communications networks and research new hardware/software.
• Coordinate with contracted specialists and maintain inventory of network components.
