Job summary
FIS is seeking a Network Engineer in Columbus, GA or surrounding area to design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN and data center networks. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security across critical business operations and client-facing services.
The role involves monitoring network performance, resolving issues, and collaborating with security teams on protections and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN and data center networks.
- Monitor network performance and proactively resolve availability and capacity issues.
- Provide On-Call support and engage with clients to fulfill requests.
- Troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, switching, and security incidents.
- Automate network administration tasks to improve efficiency.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate with security teams to strengthen protections and compliance.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
