Globalstar Inc. in Covington, LA, is seeking an experienced WAN Engineer to design, implement, and support global network infrastructure.

You will manage end-to-end WAN design, BGP routing, SD-WAN, and cloud interconnects to AWS and other providers, ensuring performance and reliability for mission-critical services. The role requires expert knowledge of multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Arista, Juniper), EVPN/VXLAN, and network security, with a strong emphasis on observability using Kentik and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Networking, CS, or equivalent.
• CCIE Routing & Switching or equivalent certification.
• At least 10 years of WAN engineering experience.
• Experience in regulated environments (NIST 800-171, SOC 2).

Responsibilities

• End-to-end WAN design, implementation, support, and documentation.
• Own BGP routing design and operations at scale — peering, transit, communities, traffic engineering, route policy.
• Lead SD-WAN architecture and operations (Cato Networks).
• Traffic routing, security, bandwidth, and QoS control on the WAN network.
• Architect and manage cloud interconnect via Equinix Fabric and direct connections to AWS and other cloud providers.
• Design and support data center fabric technologies including EVPN/VXLAN.
