Job summary

Higgins Group, Inc. in Wichita, KS is seeking a Walls & Ceilings Project Manager to lead field production for the Commercial Walls & Ceilings team on multiple projects. You will ensure safe, efficient work, manage budgets, schedules, and quality, and serve as the bridge between field operations and executive leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, manpower forecasting, and knowledge of drywall and framing. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years commercial drywall and metal stud framing construction experience.
• Superintendent or foreman management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial blueprints, management software and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities across multiple commercial projects.
• Coordinates with leadership to align labor, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor job progress and proactively address production delays.
• Conduct regular job site visits and field audits.
• Plan workforce allocation and adjust manpower based on project needs.
• Assist with hiring, performance evaluations, and corrective coaching.
• Develop and manage labor budgets for projects.
• Forecast manpower requirements and labor costs.
• Monitor productivity, hours, and production rates.
• Identify cost risks early and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with leadership to maintain profitability.
• Review blueprints, schedule, specifications, and scope requirements.
• Coordinate sequencing with other trades and general contractors.
• Assist in preconstruction planning and production strategy.
• Enforce company and OSHA safety standards.
