Job summary

Higgins Group, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Drywall Finisher to support our Commercial Walls and Ceilings Division on military installations and large-scale projects. The role finishes drywall surfaces to ready them for paint or coatings while upholding safety and quality standards.

This full-time, on-site position requires physical work, tool maintenance, and teamwork with project staff. Prior drywall experience is preferred; training emphasizes safety protocols and efficient finishes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work on military installations
• Must provide and maintain personal drywall finishing tools
• Ability to perform physical job duties
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces
• Must pass UA/PCP drug and alcohol screening
• Employment contingent on E-Verify authorization
• Must comply with safety policies

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish drywall surfaces to meet client and industry quality standards
• Identify and correct imperfections including cracks, seams, and surface irregularities
• Install corner bead and reinforcement materials
• Prepare surfaces for final paint or coatings
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Coordinate with leadership and project teams
• Communicate progress and material needs
• Mentor less experienced finishers
