Job summary

Lumentum in San Jose is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician for night shift to support wafer fabrication equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, dismantling and repairing equipment per schematics, and performing checkouts with test gear.

You will work with process and equipment engineering, participate in downtime reduction, spare parts analysis, and upgrades, while adhering to cleanroom and safety policies. MERTeam member with strong communication and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot to root cause of failure.
• Participate in shift handovers with incoming/outgoing shifts.
• Work with Process and Equipment engineering and other cross functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability, review procedures, and minimize equipment downtime.
• Support continuous improvement activities for throughput and yield enhancements.
• Participate in spare part analysis and inventory development.
• Assist in equipment upgrades and the installation and startup of new equipment.
• Member of the Lumentum MERTeam.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by maintenance supervisor.
