Headway Technologies in Milpitas, CA is seeking a Sr. Manager of Equipment Engineering to lead a team of highly skilled engineers in a fast-paced thin-film wafer fab.

You will guide tool selection, installation, troubleshooting, and data-driven optimization to improve yield and reduce costs. This role requires ten years in semiconductor equipment engineering, five in leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience.
• A minimum of ten years as a Senior Equipment Engineer in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• At least five years in a leadership role.
• Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient department operation.
• Develop and maintain tool standards and procedures; ensure adherence.
• Coordinate tool data analysis, reports, and presentation of findings; propose improvements.
• Track installation, site acceptance testing, and mass production readiness of new equipment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize tool performance and minimize downtime.
• Investigate and implement countermeasures to prevent premature part breakdown.
• Review diagrams or schematics using AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
