Job summary

Seagate Technology in Normandale, MN, is seeking a Senior Wafer Process Analytics Engineer to develop advanced analyses, build predictive models, and deploy AI solutions for process optimization in a state-of-the-art wafer fabrication environment.

You will collaborate with metrology, design, and manufacturing engineers to translate complex data into actionable insights, create automated workflows, and document model performance and data traceability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a higher degree with fewer years
• Proficiency in Python/MATLAB/R and data analysis for scientific computing
• Strong background in statistics, experimental design, and multivariate analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop analyses to understand dimensional control, variability, and wafer-level performance
• Build predictive models linking inputs to outputs and mix of empirical/physics-informed approaches
• Develop and deploy AI solutions for process optimization and fault detection
• Create automated image-analysis workflows for SEM/optical data, segmentation and measurement
• Collaborate with engineering teams to translate problems into analyzable data problems
• Design data collection strategies and ensure traceability and model documentation
