Job summary

EY is looking for a WAF Operations Solution Engineer to configure and maintain web application firewalls across client applications. You will monitor traffic, analyze security events, and respond to incidents to mitigate risks.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen security posture, using Cloudflare, Imperva, and Terraform to automate security measures and improve resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (CS/IT/Cybersecurity) is preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in web application security operations, focusing on WAF management.
• Hands-on experience with WAF solutions such as Cloudflare and Imperva is required.
• Proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure automation is preferred.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident ticketing systems is a plus.
• Certifications such as CISSP or Security+ are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and optimize WAF solutions to establish security controls for web apps.
• Provide ongoing operational coverage of web application firewalls.
• Monitor application traffic and security events to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
• Analyze security incidents and perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Collaborate with incident response teams to investigate incidents.
• Develop and maintain WAF policies, rules, and documentation.
