Job summary

Datadog is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for Vulnerability Management to scale our vulnerability lifecycle across multi-cloud products and services. You will partner with engineering teams to reduce vulnerabilities earlier in the SDLC using automation and data-driven risk decisions.

You will work across detection, remediation, and verification, applying AI-assisted tooling and collaborating with product, platform, and compliance teams to implement scalable controls across our security

Qualifications

• Proven experience identifying, prioritizing, and driving remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Experience with cloud-native environments and IaC.
• Ability to reproduce and validate externally reported vulnerabilities.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with multiple compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, FedRAMP, ISO).

Responsibilities

• Work across the vulnerability lifecycle from detection through remediation and verification.
• Use AI and automation to build tools, services, and workflows that scale security ideas and validate them quickly.
• Reduce engineering toil with a PRs, not tickets approach and automation.
• Analyze recurring vulnerabilities to identify root causes and prevent issues earlier in the SDLC.
• Partner with SDLC Security, Product Security, platform and engineering teams to balance constraints, business impact, and risk; communicate concerns early with actionable options.
• Provide evidence and SME for vulnerability-management processes across multiple compliance frameworks (SOC2, HIPAA, PCI, FedRAMP, ISO).
