Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior VTC Engineer to lead design, integration, sustainment, and lifecycle management of secure AV/VTC systems for DoD operations. You will guide enterprise collaboration tech, run complex installations, and ensure reliable communications in classified and unclassified environments.

This onsite role in Fort Bragg, NC requires deep expertise in Cisco UC, Cisco Meeting Server, Extron, Crestron, AMX, and STIGs, with TS/SCI eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 12–15 years of progressively responsible AV/VTC engineering experience in DoD or enterprise environments.
• Extensive design, implementation, and sustainment of Cisco UC, Cisco Meeting Server, Extron, Crestron, and AMX systems.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, QoS, SIP/H.323 protocols; applies STIGs in secure environments.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and liaison skills with government stakeholders.
• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility/access.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, installation, integration, testing, and modernization of enterprise AV/VTC systems.
• Design secure VTC solutions for classified and unclassified communications.
• Perform site surveys, craft technical designs, and plan lifecycle refreshes.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and conferencing issues.
• Provide technical leadership and liaison with government customers for major events.
• Develop documentation, SOPs, and lifecycle plans; manage inventories.
