Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, and secure enterprise remote access VPNs with a focus on Tailscale and WireGuard. You will own the end‑to‑end VPN lifecycle, support multiple platforms, and develop automation to improve deployment and security posture.

The role requires strong networking expertise, Linux management, and cross‑functional collaboration within the Network Security Engineering team in Redmond, WA. Onsite only with extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or 5+ years of network security experience; or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• 3+ years securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on network security, firewalls, and zero‑trust architectures for VPN.
• Architect, deploy, and secure enterprise remote access VPN solutions end‑to‑end.
• Own full lifecycle of remote access infrastructure from design to maintenance.
• Configure VPN clients across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.
• Develop automation and CI/CD workflows to streamline deployment and monitoring.
