Job summary

SpaceX in Texas is seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer to design, deploy, and secure enterprise remote access VPNs with a focus on Tailscale, WireGuard, IPsec, and SSL.

You will own end-to-end VPN infrastructure, manage Linux-based systems, develop Python automation, and collaborate across engineering teams to harden network security and zero-trust architectures. Onsite only, with extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 5+ years of network security experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on network security, firewalls, zero-trust, and VPN technologies.
• Architect, deploy, and secure enterprise remote access VPN solutions end-to-end (Tailscale, WireGuard, IPsec, SSL).
• Own full lifecycle of remote access infrastructure from design to maintenance.
• Configure and support VPN clients across Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android.
