Job summary

Citi is seeking a strategic Technology Product Owner to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for internal risk management platforms in the Retail and Wealth Risk Management sector. You will drive adoption of emerging technologies including AI/ML to improve risk oversight, streamline operations, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will own product definition and quality from concept to delivery, partnering with business and technology teams, and actively demo applications to users.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in technology product ownership or a related strategic role.
• Significant experience with internal, enterprise-level applications, preferably in financial services.
• Deep understanding of risk management principles and practices.
• Experience with emerging technologies to solve business problems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making.
• Experience with modern agile development practices (PDLC/Agile).

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate a clear product vision and 3–5 year strategy for internal risk technology portfolio.
• Serve as liaison between business, technology, and executive leadership to align goals and investments.
• Drive end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery to delivery with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Champion shift-left quality and comprehensive testing strategies.
• Drive architectural and operational enhancements for resiliency and availability.
• Lead exploration and adoption of emerging technologies to improve risk capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with risk management frameworks and internal policies.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing product team.
