Job summary

Teneo, the global CEO advisory firm, seeks a Senior Vice President for its Strategy and Communications practice in New York. You will execute strategic programs and communications initiatives for technology clients, often founders of dynamic startups, using earned media, social, events and concise messaging to drive client outcomes.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in complex programs across technology, media, or fintech, experience counseling senior executives, and the ability to

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience managing complex communications programs across Technology, Media, Financial Services or Healthcare.
• Experience counselling senior executives and collaborating with external financial and legal advisors.
• Ability to think creatively, approach communications from new angles, and handle both day‑to‑day account work and one‑off client asks.
• Related experience in technology, media or fintech sectors, with a focus on startups.
• Available to work from Teneo’s New York office in a hybrid setting, with a minimum of three days in the office.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• Manage complex strategic communications planning and execution.
• Demonstrate an understanding of how communications functions as a business driver for existing and potential clients.
• Oversee day‑to‑day management of account deliverables and development of high‑quality materials.
• Execute against team objectives and plans as a reliable resource capable of overseeing others.
• Leverage understanding of challenges faced by emerging tech companies to help clients stay ahead of market trends.
• Foster an environment where commitment to quality and client satisfaction is a top priority.
