AASA, the School Superintendents Association, is seeking a Senior Vice President for District Services and Rural Schools Programs to lead a national portfolio of services for district leadership teams.

The ideal candidate has extensive K-12 leadership experience, rural education expertise, and a proven ability to grow programs, build partnerships, and translate strategy into scalable learning opportunities in Alexandria, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Education or related field required; an equivalent combination of education or experience may be considered.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in public education, nonprofit leadership, or professional learning organizations.
• Experience as a Superintendent in a small or rural school district preferred.
• Deep understanding of rural school system opportunities and challenges.
• Demonstrated experience developing and leading programs or services that generate organizational impact and revenue.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for AASA’s District Services and Rural Schools Programs, ensuring alignment with mission and priorities.
• Lead a portfolio of programs and services with responsibility for strategy, impact, and sustainable growth.
