Citi Rutherford, New Jersey, seeks a Senior Vice President and Senior Lead, Python Engineering to guide AI agent platforms, data ecosystems, and full-stack solutions for Retail and Wealth Risk. You will lead ~15 engineers, including AI-assisted developers, and drive AI PDLC, data governance, and regulatory reporting initiatives.

The role emphasizes architecture, governance, and collaboration with Risk, Finance, and Retail Banking stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant technology platforms.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in enterprise application development, data engineering, or AI platform engineering.
• 8+ years leading multi-team Agile organizations (20+ engineers).
• Advanced expertise in Python, PySpark, and Databricks ecosystem for large-scale data processing and ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Proven experience architecting enterprise AI/GenAI platforms with agentic AI frameworks and LLM integrations.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted development tools such as Devin.AI and GitHub Copilot and integrating them into engineering workflows.
• Strong experience with microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud-native deployment (Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Experience with event-driven architectures and streaming platforms (Kafka).
• Knowledge of data mesh, data federation, and regulatory data requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple agile scrum teams comprising ~15+ engineers, including hybrid AI-assisted teams.
• Define and execute enterprise strategy for Python engineering, AI agent platforms, and data apps.
• Serve as senior architect for AI agents, data pipelines, and microservices.
• Drive AI PDLC adoption, model governance, deployment, monitoring, and regulatory compliance.
• Architect data pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, Kafka; support CCAR/FDIC reporting and risk analytics.
• Lead GenAI agent ecosystems using LLMs with HITL for explainability and auditability.
• Oversee cloud-native architecture with FastAPI/Spring Boot, Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD.
• Promote engineering standards, governance, and reuse across teams.
• Partner with Risk, Finance, and Retail Banking stakeholders to translate requirements.
