Job summary

EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants is seeking a Vice President of Claims in Rancho Cordova, CA. The role leads claims operations, sets strategies, and ensures compliance with standards while guiding teams and coordinating with legal counsel.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of brokerage claims experience and knowledge of P&C coverages and policy forms
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet navigation
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of people
• Ability to work independently with little supervision

Responsibilities

• Develop objectives and strategies to achieve long-range goals
• Analyze information and evaluate results to select the best solution
• Provide consultation and advice to management on technical topics
• Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others to settle disputes
• Communicate with supervisors, peers or subordinates
• Gather information from relevant sources to inform decisions
• Identify objects, actions and events to detect changes
• Evaluate information to ensure compliance with standards
• Think creatively to design new applications or processes
• Represent the organization to clients and external sources and communicate technical information
