Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior finance professional to lead due diligence, financial modeling, and investment evaluation for loan opportunities. You will work with a Managing Director to develop investment theses and present to loan committees.

Responsibilities include overseeing due diligence, structuring loans, coordinating closings, and managing a team of analysts. Strong leadership and advanced financial analysis are essential in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum of relevant financial services, investment banking or lending experience.
• 5-6 years of Fund/Lender Finance experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year in a manager role preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Outstanding problem-solving and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented.
• Adaptable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Can work independently and within a team; solution-oriented with a collaborative approach.
• Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including financial modeling in lender/structured finance.
• Strong financial statement analysis skills with a firm grasp of accounting and finance matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence on loan and investment opportunities with a Managing Director.
• Create investment theses and make investment recommendations to the Managing Director.
• Advocate for and present deals to the Bank’s Officers Loan Committee.
• Construct and maintain detailed financial models and sensitivity analyses.
• Draft term sheets and internal approval memoranda.
• Assist with origination activity through closing of new transactions.
• Monitor and enforce loan agreement terms with the portfolio management team.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with borrowing clients.
• Coordinate investment closings with the Bank’s operations team.
• Supervise assigned employees and monitor work progress.
• Recruit, select, orient, and train employees.
• Manage employee performance through development, coaching, and counseling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
