Job summary

National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) seeks a Senior Vice President, Government Affairs to lead state and federal advocacy, building a field-first operation and expanding networks across the industry. The SVP will guide strategy, campaigns, and coalition-building, while managing staff and external consultants.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the role emphasizes engagement at state and local levels, legislative insight, and collaboration with leadership on policy initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Masters or JD degree a plus.
• Proven leadership and senior-level advocacy experience.
• Strong political acumen and deep knowledge of legislative processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead state and federal advocacy strategy and campaigns.
• Develop and manage field-based advocacy networks and coalitions.
• Oversee government affairs staff, consultants, and committees.
• Advise senior leadership and members on regulatory and legislative developments.
• Build relationships with state policymakers and key influencers.
• Coordinate fundraising and sustainment of advocacy infrastructure.
