Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President, OPS Control Manager to lead the Controls Hub in Pittsburgh, PA. This role will oversee risk management, control testing, and policy development within a matrixed, geographically dispersed team.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in securities or financial services and proven staff leadership capabilities to recruit, mentor and develop high-performing control professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 7–10 years of total work experience with 1–3 years of management experience.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large or specialized teams of control professionals or multiple teams, including matrixed and geographically dispersed teams.
• Demonstrated skills in recruiting, directing, motivating and developing staff to maximize individual and team contributions.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, monitor and minimize business risks, ensuring proper control policies and procedures are in place.
• Manage multiple teams responsible for control testing and reporting on control standards.
• Develop training on policies and procedures concerning controls and risk management.
• Monitor results on key risks, errors/near misses, reconciliations and root cause analyses, analyzing and determining appropriate management intervention.
