Rigel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is looking for a Vice President of Clinical Development to provide executive leadership for experimental therapeutic programs.

Reporting to the CMO, you will shape clinical strategy, oversee trial design and execution, and ensure data integrity and regulatory readiness across multiple programs. This role requires collaboration with Biometrics, Clinical Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Drug Safety, with on-site presence at the South San Francisco headquarters on

Qualifications

• MD degree and advanced knowledge in hematology/oncology.
• Board certification in hematology or oncology preferred.
• Minimum 8 years in clinical research or drug development (Phase 1–4).
• Experience with global Health Authorities and regulatory strategy.
• Strong communication of complex data to inform decisions.
• GCP knowledge and clinical trial design expertise.

Responsabilités

• Provide executive oversight for design, planning and execution of clinical development programs.
• Lead development and implementation of clinical development plans aligned with product strategy and lifecycle objectives.
• Ensure high-quality trial execution, data collection and reporting per GCP and standards.
• Oversee key clinical documents: protocols, IBs, study reports and regulatory materials.
• Serve on cross-functional project teams and governance bodies.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations and CROs for efficient trial execution and safety monitoring.
