Job summary

BNY Mellon is seeking a Senior Vice President for Anti-Corruption and U.S. Government Contracting to join its Financial Crimes Compliance team.

This role is based in Washington, D.C., with additional locations in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL. The ideal candidate provides subject matter expertise on anti-bribery, pay-to-play, and political contribution laws; helps design and enhance the ABC framework; and advises on risks in government contracting and related regulatory matter.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 2- to 3-sentence description of governing anti-corruption requirements and pay-to-play rules.
• Experience in financial crimes compliance or regulatory advisory in a highly regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of anti-bribery laws, rules and regulatory expectations.
• Ability to provide trusted advisory support to senior stakeholders on complex risk matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME on anti-bribery and corruption compliance with focus on pay-to-play laws and political contributions.
• Support development and enhancement of the anti-corruption compliance framework, including policies and controls.
• Advise on U.S. government contracts, regulatory requirements, risk scenarios and escalations.
• Assess bribery and pay-to-play risk and recommend risk-based controls and mitigation.
• Review business activities and relationships for potential bribery or political law risk.
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices for program enhancements.
• Partner with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit and Government Affairs to support investigations and governance.
• Prepare materials and metrics for leadership and governance forums.
• Support compliance training and awareness initiatives.
