Job summary

Corpus Christi Housing Authority seeks a Vice President of Development to lead all real estate development initiatives, including planning, financing, and execution of redevelopment projects. You will guide both strategy and day-to-day operations, reporting to the CEO and serving on the Executive Leadership Team.

The role requires deep expertise in LIHTC, RAD, Section 18, and other federal, state, and local housing programs, plus strong leadership to advance a multi-year, $100M+ redevelopment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing development.
• Minimum five (5) years of executive or senior management experience.
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale affordable housing redevelopment initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Authority's redevelopment master plan and long-range capital plans.
• Secure financing for modernization and expansion of the housing portfolio.
• Deliver redevelopment projects on time and within budget.
• Build strategic partnerships with HUD, TDHCA, lenders, and developers.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across HUD, NEPA, and procurement rules.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and contractors.
