Job summary

OSC Global seeks a Senior VoIP Engineer to oversee Cisco Unified Communications Manager across multiple enclaves, ensuring voice/video performance and security at a Quantico, VA worksite.

The role requires 5+ years in communications systems, CUCM 12+, TOP SECRET clearance eligibility for TS/SCI, and CCNP or equivalent certification. On-site security-cleared engineers are valued in our US government contracting environment.

Qualifications

  • Must hold and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance and be eligible for TS/SCI.
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining communications systems with CUCM 12+; CCNP; CCNP Collaboration or CLCOR.
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCCX, Unity, Presence, and Emergency Responder.

Responsibilities

  • Performs testing, provisioning, operations and emergency responses for voice network operations.
  • Designs, configures, and installs VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades.
  • Develops and maintains VoIP documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, deployment plans).
  • Identifies and diagnoses problems affecting voice services.
  • Provides SME support for RKB tenant agencies.
  • Troubleshoots voice issues/outages; supports non-core hours.
  • Works with vendors in support of the ITCSU.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on VoIP devices.
  • Maintains understanding of emerging voice/video technologies.
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and Government contracting office.

This full-time position requires a physical presence at the worksite in Quantico, VA.

General Function

As a Senior VoIP Engineer, the individual will oversee and manage all components of the Cisco Unified Communication Manager cluster. In this role, the Engineer will monitor and control the performance and status of voice and video resources across multiple enclaves and locations utilizing software and hardware tools. In addition, the individual will work to ensure all voice applicable STIGs and vulnerabilities are resolved or mitigated in a timely manner.

Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)

  • Performs testing, provision, operations and emergency responses for voice network operations
  • Designs, configures, and installs VoIP hardware/software replacements and upgrades
  • Develops and maintains all VoIP documentation (drawings, cut sheets, configurations, and deployment plans)
  • Identifies and diagnoses problems and factors affecting voice services
  • Provides day-to-day subject matter expert support for RKB tenant agencies
  • Troubleshoots voice related issues and outages, which may occur during non-core hours
  • Works with vendors in support of the ITCSU
  • Performs preventative maintenance services on all devices within the VoIP area of responsibility
  • Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in voice and video services
  • Performs other tasks as required by OSC and the Government contracting office

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have and maintain a TOP SECRET clearance and must be eligible for a TS/SCI
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Five (5) or more years of experience designing, building, and/or maintaining communications systems with a minimum of three (3) years of experience with CISCO Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Version 12+ or newer
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and 60 days to get the CCNP Collaboration or successful completion of the CLCOR exam
  • Prior experience with Cisco Unity, Cisco Presences, Cisco Emergency Responder
  • Knowledge of Cisco UCCX
  • Prior experience with dynamic and static IPv4 routing and integrating with an external SIP provider
  • Proficient with SIP, SCCP, MGCP, DSN, PSTN, and H.323 systems and devices
