Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. seeks a Systems Development Engineer for the VMware on AWS EVS team. You will design and build capabilities to run VMware-based workloads at cloud scale, working with engineers, stakeholders, and customers to ensure robust, high-performance services.

You will lead testing, benchmarking, and networking solutions using VMware technologies (ESXi, vSAN, NSX, VCF) and scripting in Bash, Python, and PowerShell to automate deployments and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years designing or architecting scalable systems.
• Hands-on experience with PowerShell, Python, Ruby or Java.
• Deep VMware technology experience: ESXi, vSAN, NSX, VCF.

Responsibilities

• Work with builders and engineers to define new capabilities for VMware workloads on AWS.
• Lead performance testing and benchmark AWS infrastructure for VMware workloads.
• Design and implement software-defined networking solutions and programmable networks.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure needs are met and communicate clearly.
