Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks an experienced Software Development Manager to lead a 10+ member team building the Amazon Elastic VMware Service (EVS). You will own from requirements through rollout, shaping architecture for VMware-based workloads on AWS, and ensuring scalable, highly available solutions for enterprise customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
• 7+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services.
• 1+ years of developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software systems using Java, C#, or C++.
• 1+ years of developing distributed software systems using service-oriented architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team of 10+ software engineers.
• Own the complete software development lifecycle for EVS features.
• Drive technical strategy and architecture for VMware-based workloads on AWS.
• Scale a global AWS service with distributed customers and infrastructure.
• Mentor and develop engineers through regular 1:1s and career planning.
