Job summary

Soho Square Solutions is seeking an experienced VMware engineer to design, deploy, and support large-scale vSphere environments in Jersey City. You will migrate legacy sites to VMware Cloud Foundation 9+, participate in disaster recovery planning, and maintain strict RPO/RTO targets for critical workloads.

You will provide Tier-2/3 support, perform automated OS and firmware updates, and oversee capacity monitoring using Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and supporting large VMware environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy and support large-scale VMware environments (vSphere 8, NSX-T, vSAN).
• Migrate legacy VMware sites to VMware Cloud Foundation 9 or newer stacks.
• Participate in DR planning, testing, and execution; maintain RPO ≤ 5 seconds and RTO ≤ 15 minutes.
• Provide Tier-2/3 on-call support for production workloads.
• Perform OS and firmware upgrades and security patches via automated pipelines.
• Configure thresholds, alarms and dashboards in Aria Operations, VRLI and VRNI.
• Use AI-driven anomaly detection to anticipate capacity bottlenecks.
