Computer Aid is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise VMware infrastructure. This 12-month contract requires 3 days onsite and 2 days remote weekly in a hybrid work model.

The role demands 13+ years IT experience, 3+ years government exposure, and strong VMware/ESX expertise. You will collaborate across teams, support DR planning, and drive optimization of virtual environments.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of overall IT experience.
• 3+ years of Government experience (Federal, State, or Local Municipality).
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of VMware administration experience.
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise VMware and SAN environments.
• 8+ years of experience with VMware ESX administration.
• Experience performing capacity planning and infrastructure analysis.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.

Responsabilités

• Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise VMware solutions.
• Create technical design documentation, deployment procedures, and support documentation.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize server infrastructure and virtual environments.
• Support disaster recovery and failover planning and execution.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, hardware, software, and virtualization issues.
• Recommend and implement technical solutions and workarounds as needed.
• Perform system, software, and equipment upgrades.
• Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain enterprise systems and applications.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to meet business objectives.
• Escalate complex technical issues to vendors and support teams when appropriate.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while providing regular status updates.
• Maintain ownership of assigned tickets and ensure timely communication to stakeholders.
• Adhere to information security policies and industry best practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
