Job summary
Novalink Solutions is seeking a contractor to design, implement, and support VMware solutions for the South Carolina Department of Revenue. The role involves collaborating with application and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and produce deployment documentation with support procedures.
You will monitor infrastructure and security, assist with disaster recovery planning, and participate in on-call rotations.
Qualifications
- 13+ years of IT experience and 3+ years in state government.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification OR 5+ additional years of VMware experience.
- 8+ years in enterprise environments with known issues on SAN/VMware.
- 8+ years of VMware ESX administration.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support VMware solutions for agency environments.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure groups to gather requirements.
- Produce design documentation with deployment details and support procedures.
- Monitor system infrastructure and security; assist in DR/failover planning.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as part of a team.
