Job summary

Novalink Solutions LLC seeks an experienced IT contractor for a high‑level VMware engineer role with the South Carolina Department of Revenue. The candidate will design, implement, and support VMware solutions, coordinating with multiple IT teams to document deployments and operational procedures.

Responsibilities include monitoring, security adherence, disaster recovery readiness, and 24/7 on‑call support as part of a senior technical team.

Qualifications

13+ Years of IT experience required.
6+ Years of State Government experience noted in some contexts.
VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification OR 5+ additional years of VMware experience.
8+ Years of experience with enterprise environments and VMware-related issues.
8+ Years of VMware ESX administration experience.
Capacity planning based on technical analysis research.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support agency VMware solutions across the organization.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and document deployment details.
Maintain security and monitoring of system infrastructures; participate in disaster recovery planning.
Provide on-call support and ensure data/server stability and performance.
Adhere to security guidelines and escalate complex issues as needed.
