Job summary

Cystems Logic Inc. is seeking a Senior VMware Migration Engineer in Irvine, CA for a 9- to 12-month contract. You will lead migrations of VM estates between VMware environments, building detailed plans and coordinating with client VMware, network, and security teams to execute waves without production disruption.

You will drive change control, validate post-migration health, and ensure security and segmentation requirements are met across complex data center environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise virtualization and data center infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) required; advanced VC A P Deploy/Design a plus.
• Demonstrated experience migrating VM estates between VMware infrastructures at enterprise scale.
• Deep vSphere expertise - vCenter, ESXi, clusters, HA/DRS, vDS, storage.
• PowerCLI scripting for automation; Python a plus.

Responsibilities

• Discovery & migration planning: assess source VMware environments and map dependencies.
• Migration execution: perform migrations using vMotion, Storage vMotion, cross-vCenter vMotion, HCX, and replication methods.
• Network & security coordination: analyze NSX configurations and align firewall rules for cutover.
• Documentation & stakeholder engagement: produce runbooks and migration playbooks; present to client leadership.
