Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related systems engineering experience
• VMware virtualization expertise is required to support both onsite and remote site activities.
• TS/SCI clearance required

Responsibilities

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing compute systems.
• Performs complex systems engineering design work including compute architecture analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and security practices within the ESXi environment.
• Plans upgrades of operating systems and designs systems enhancements.
• Develops documentation on new or existing systems.
• Develops and conducts tests to ensure systems meet documented user requirements.
• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves system problems.
• Provides system/equipment training and technical guidance.
• Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
• Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced engineers and may supervise.
• May serve as a technical team or task lead.
• Liaises with clients in meetings to ensure needs are met.
• Mantains current knowledge of relevant technology assigned.
• Participates in special projects as required.
