Job summary
Telia Cygate is seeking a VMware Technician to design, implement, operate and troubleshoot VMware-based solutions in critical environments. You will manage VMware vSphere/VCF, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN and Cloud Director while ensuring security, capacity planning, and DR readiness.
We value at least 5 years of VMware experience, strong ownership, and ability to drive complex projects in a hybrid cloud setting. Swedish citizenship and Swedish/English fluency are required, with independent work style
Qualifications
- Min. 5 years of VMware infrastructure experience.
- Strong ownership and ability to drive technical initiatives.
- Excellent knowledge of VMware components and backup strategies.
- Experience with hybrid and cloud environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux.
- Swedish citizenship and bilingual Swedish/English.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Operate and administrate VMware vSphere and VCF environments.
- Manage ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, and VMware Cloud Director.
- Install, upgrade, and optimize virtualization platforms.
- Monitor performance, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Work with backup, Disaster Recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Contribute to security work and documentation.
- Collaborate with other teams and provide guidance.
- Support change management and ITSM processes.
- Participate in on-call duties.
