Job summary

SMASH seeks a VMware Cloud Foundation consultant to design, deploy, and optimize enterprise cloud environments for client projects in the United States. You will lead workshops, own architecture decisions, and ensure scalable, secure, and reliable SDDCs across engagements.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on VCF experience, strong vSphere/NSX/vSAN skills, and a track record of mentoring delivery teams in customer-facing settings.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), including VCF 5.x and/or VCF 9.
• Strong expertise with VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter.
• Hands-on experience with VMware NSX and vSAN.
• Experience administering and implementing SDDC Manager.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops to gather technical requirements and define infrastructure solutions.
• Own the solution architecture and make design decisions for scalability, reliability, and security.
• Deploy and configure VMware Cloud Foundation components, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Automate provisioning using Terraform, PowerCLI, Ansible, Python, or similar.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to consultants on the engagement.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders.
• Stay current on VMware Cloud Foundation releases and emerging technologies.
