Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to join the NSWC Port Hueneme Division, in support of the MK 41 Vertical Launching System. This full-time, in-office role aligns engineering, test, and logistics to sustain fleet readiness and expand combat system capabilities.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in MK41 VLS In-Service Engineering, experience with LCU hardware, shipboard manuals, and data analysis, plus the ability to collaborate with stakeholders and craft detailed documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years supporting MK41 VLS In-Service Engineering.
• Experience with LCU/launcher hardware troubleshooting and failure investigations.
• Authoring shipboard technical manuals for launcher equipment and LCU.
• Launch data analysis from missile live-fire events.
• Proficiency with MK41 VLS ISEA data reduction and analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with Missile Simulators and ATEs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical expertise for VLS tasks including installation, upgrades, and testing.
• Lead failure investigations and diagnostic efforts with computer tools.
• Author and update high-level technical documentation and test plans.
