Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Shoreview, MN is seeking a QC Inspector Level III to be the primary visual weld inspector and support other inspection processes. You will report to the QEHS Manager and be located at Shoreview, MN.

You will support this role 100% onsite. Key responsibilities include performing visual weld inspections, collaborating with welders and suppliers to develop WPS/PQR documentation, inspecting components for compliance with specifications and ensuring adherence to

Qualifications

• 5+ years prior quality experience.
• 3+ years visual weld inspection experience.
• Experience with metal fabrication, assembly processes, and inspections of complex electromechanical machines.
• ANSI level II certification in multiple inspection disciplines within first 3 months.
• Able to pass vision acuity exam including color differentiation.
• Industry certifications (ASNT, AWS CWI, ASQ) preferred.
• Accredited program certification/degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspection activities.
• Inspect components, fabrications and assemblies for compliance with specifications.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, procedures, codes and regulations.
• Perform basic dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, height/depth gauges, pin/gauge checks.
• Document and archive quality records.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and supply chain to resolve issues.
