Job summary

CNN is seeking a Senior Visual Investigations Manager to lead a CNN team of reporters, producers, editors, and animators. You will oversee open-source research, data-driven reporting, and multidisciplinary production to expose wrongdoing and hold power to account across US platforms.

You will manage field assignments, coordinate with security and budgeting, and drive storytelling across digital, television, and social channels with a focus on accuracy and impact.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of production experience in the news television industry or digital video journalism, with investigative reporting experience a necessity.
• 3+ years of management experience leading producers, editors, or cross-functional teams.
• Strong news judgment and proven writing, verbal, interpersonal, research, and production skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce original investigative stories for US platforms from idea to publication with strong video and motion graphics components.
• Collaborate with reporters, editors, and other teams to visualize and elevate complex stories.
• Conduct deep-dive open-source research and verification using advanced digital forensic tools.
