Job summary

Yahoo Games seeks a Senior Visual Designer to own visuals outside the game itself—illustrations, promotional imagery, and platform visuals. You will collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and the Lead Visual Designer to ensure a cohesive presence across Yahoo Games.

This hands-on role involves creating icons, avatars, leaderboards, and marketing assets with a strong illustration background. You will leverage motion design, AI-assisted tools, and asset optimization to deliver

Qualifications

• 4+ years as illustrator or visual designer in/games context.
• Strong portfolio for illustration, visual design, marketing assets.
• Proficient with Illustrator, Photoshop; solid motion-design knowledge.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools in creative workflows.
• Motion graphics expertise for digital platforms.
• Ability to create visuals for marketing of games/apps.
• Knowledge of asset optimization for web/digital.
• Experience with cross-functional teams (product/engineering/design).
• Passion for games and game-adjacent visuals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality illustrations and visual assets for discovery and marketing.
• Design assets like streaks, avatars, leaderboards for platform, promo.
• Own visuals for Yahoo Games web presence and marketing materials.
• Experiment with AI-assisted tools for concepting and iterations.
• Use AI to prototype variations and test stylistic directions.
• Evaluate new AI tools to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Design/Management and Lead Visual Designer.
• Apply motion design to bring visuals to life on web and marketing.
• Support Lead Visual Designer on game projects when needed.
• Ensure assets are optimized for desktop and mobile web.
