Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience as an illustrator or visual designer in games or related field.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating illustration, visual design, and marketing asset creation.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; working knowledge of motion design tools.
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for rapid concept exploration, ideation, and asset iteration.
• Motion design skills to create engaging visuals across digital platforms.
• Proven ability to create visuals that market or promote games, apps, or entertainment products.
• Familiarity with asset optimization for web and mobile platforms.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and design.
• Deep interest in games and a strong point of view on polished, approachable visuals.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality illustrations and visual assets for discovery and marketing across Yahoo Games.
• Design and produce assets such as streak illustrations, avatars, leaderboards, and platform visuals.
• Own visual design for Yahoo Games web presence including game websites and platform marketing materials.
• Explore AI-assisted tools for rapid concepting, visual exploration, and early-stage asset creation.
• Leverage motion design to bring visuals to life across platform and marketing channels.
• Collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, and Lead Visual Designer to ensure consistency.
• Contribute icons and supporting visuals for game projects as needed.
• Ensure assets are optimized for performance on desktop and mobile web.
