CAE USA Inc. seeks a Lead Geospatial Engineer in Tampa to direct real-time geo-spatial content development for simulation and training. You will lead a team of geo-spatial DB developers, overseeing tasks, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders.
The role requires strong GIS, 3D modeling, and visualization skills, plus experience in Windows and Linux development. A Bachelor’s in GIS/earth science or related field is preferred.
This position resides within the Content & HPC (High Performance Computing) group, specifically as a Lead Geospatial Engineer performing as a project lead in the development of real‑time geo‑spatial database content for simulation and training.

The Lead Geospatial Engineer will have strong GIS, 3D modeling, and visualization skills and will lead a team of geo‑spatial database developers. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to communicate and delegate work tasks, provide oversight and guidance, and work both independently and as part of a team, including customer interactions. Experience in Windows and LINUX development is a plus. The employee is expected to assist in the design, development, and implementation of solutions in a collaborative environment, working within agreed budgets and schedules and following organizational processes.

This job operates in a professional office environment, routinely involving standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Must be able to work in confined spaces for long periods.
