Job summary

State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio is seeking a Visual Communications Designer to join the Executive/ Communications and Public Affairs team. The role focuses on conceptualizing and delivering graphic design, video and multimedia content across channels while upholding STRS Ohio’s brand.

You will work with strategists and staff to craft visual solutions, develop briefs and storyboards, and use AI-powered tools responsibly to enhance content.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, digital media or related field.
• 3+ years of related experience in graphic design, visual communication, video production or multimedia.
• Foundational knowledge of color theory, composition, typography and storytelling.
• Experience with AI-powered creative tools and responsible application in business.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, produce and present visual solutions across print, digital, video and emerging media.
• Develop briefs, storyboards, scripts and mockups; advise on presentation of information.
• Produce and edit video, motion graphics, illustrations, photography and audio for various channels.
• Maintain a clear, consistent corporate image and brand identity.
