Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Vision Engineer to lead machine vision development for new products and processes. You will drive quality inspection, process monitoring, and data collection, and mentor engineers across cross-functional teams.

You will apply ML techniques, leverage smart camera technology, and ensure seamless transfer of completed systems to plant operations. A strong background in vision systems and manufacturing is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on machine vision experience in manufacturing
• Bachelor's/Master's in a relevant field or equivalent experience
• Experience with Python/C/C++/C# and ML in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of machine vision for new products and processes
• Own transfer of vision systems to plant teams including training and documentation
• Apply ML and imaging techniques to automate quality inspection and process monitoring
• Collaborate with process/engineering teams for technical direction
• Use statistics to improve process capability and efficiency
