Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a System Software Engineer for Vision AI to own core components of a strategic platform that processes massive streams of video, image, and 3D data, turning them into actionable insights.

You will collaborate with perception, simulation and platform teams to deploy production-grade, GPU-accelerated vision systems at scale, while profiling, tuning and mentoring peers to meet strict latency and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development with C++ and Python on Linux.
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems.
• Expertise in computer vision and deep learning with production deployment focus on Vision-Language Models.
• Experience building high-performance, concurrent systems with multi-threading and asynchronous I/O.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize high-performance Vision AI pipelines for real-time and streaming scenarios.
• Build distributed services processing video, image, and 3D data in edge and cloud.
• Create multi-modal perception combining 2D/3D/temporal data.
• Use simulation and synthetic data tools to test perception algorithms at scale.
• Profile and tune GPU-accelerated inference to meet latency and efficiency targets.
• Mentor engineers and drive code quality and testing.
