Job summary
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) seeks a seasoned virtualization engineer to design, automate, and support scalable virtualization platforms and cloud-native services. You will work across VMware VSphere, OCP, and Kubernetes, implementing APIs and automation to streamline end‑to‑end pipelines and security posture.
You will collaborate with business, IT, and security leaders, drive innovation, and contribute to incident response, DR testing, and policy documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a software developer, solutions architect, lead developer, or related role.
- Strong design experience with virtualization, automation, and cloud-native tooling.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable infrastructure‑as‑code for bare‑metal and virtualized life cycle.
- Develop cloud‑native REST API integrations and automate end‑to‑end pipelines across Kubernetes and non‑Kubernetes environments.
- Create virtualization strategies for VMware VSphere and OCP; enable migration between VMware and OCP and event‑driven messaging.
- Provide on‑call support, disaster recovery testing, and document changes, policies, and procedures.
