Job summary

Apogee, located at Offutt AFB, NE, seeks a Senior Virtualization & AI Engineering Specialist / Associate Principal Engineer to support AFNWC/NCC. The role covers virtualization design, AI/analytics tooling, and cybersecurity governance across DoD environments.

Candidate must have TS/SCI eligibility and 15+ years of IT experience including virtualization in complex environments, with strong VMware, vRealize, and cloud platform skills. On‑site at Offutt AFB.

Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen.
Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility.
Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience with 8+ in IT infra and 3–5 years virtualization in DoD or complex environments.
Hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi administration and lifecycle management.
Experience with DoD STIGs compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience with AI/analytics tooling in mission or enterprise contexts.
Strong troubleshooting across virtualization, OS, and hardware.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain VMware/vSphere virtualization across environments.
Configure vRealize Operations and Logs for performance monitoring and alerting.
Lead AI/analytics tooling development supporting SMPES requirements.
Translate stakeholder requirements into executable tasks and plans.
Ensure cyber risk management, vulnerability remediation, and DoD policy compliance.
Support system requirements analysis and integration of on‑prem and cloud platforms.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship, collaborating across teams.
