General Motors LLC seeks an experienced propulsion modeling engineer to design and validate system-level models for electrified and conventional propulsion systems. You will build 1D and coarse 3D models, integrate cross-domain plant models, and support design decisions with data-driven insights.

Responsibilities include leading analytical practices, collaborating with global teams, and mentoring colleagues. Hybrid work arrangement with on-site collaboration in Warren, MI is expected.

Competenze

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in propulsion system simulation, design, testing or release.
• 1 year experience with GT-SUITE, AMESIM or similar software.
• Extensive experience with propulsion system design, operation, or testing.

Mansioni

• Conceptualize, build, and exercise analytical system level models for propulsion systems.
• Integrate plant models into a larger system level model with SiL/HiL co-simulation.
• Provide design recommendations based on analysis results.
• Own and advance analysis practices and tools to improve fidelity and speed.
• Lead efficiency improvement projects and develop automation tools (Python or MATLAB).
