Qualifications

• 5+ years of BIM/VDC or construction technology in a commercial construction environment.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks Manage, and/or SketchUp.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Experience identifying constructability risks and resolving coordination issues.
• Experience collaborating with field teams, project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors.
• Associate's degree or higher in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM and VDC processes from preconstruction through project completion

• Facilitate coordination meetings with internal teams and trade partners
• Perform clash detection and constructability reviews using digital models
• Support estimating teams with model-based quantity takeoffs

• Maintain model quality control and project BIM standards
• Export layout points and support field construction operations
• Assist with reality capture, point cloud, and emerging construction technology workflows
• Train project teams on BIM/VDC tools, processes, and best practices
• Contribute to the development and implementation of VDC standards and procedures
• Mentor junior team members as the VDC function continues to grow

We are seeking a Virtual Construction Manager to support large-scale commercial construction projects throughout the Indianapolis market. This individual will lead Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts from preconstruction through project completion, helping project teams identify and resolve design and constructability issues before they reach the field.

This role serves as a key resource for project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, estimators, and field personnel. The ideal candidate will have experience leading BIM coordination efforts, manage model-based construction workflows, and driving collaboration across project stakeholders.

This position offers the opportunity to play a critical role in advancing construction technology initiatives while helping establish and grow VDC capabilities within the local market.
