Job summary

NBCUniversal is seeking a Sr Video Transmission Engineer to support the Dry Creek NOC and Local Station Master Control Origination and Distribution. You will ensure reliable delivery, monitor systems, and coordinate with engineering and vendor teams to resolve high-priority issues.

You will participate in on-call rotations, apply software upgrades, and work across on-prem and cloud environments to maintain performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of live on-air support experience.
• Ability to mentor technology professionals and manage change.
• Strong troubleshooting of SDI/IP/transport stream systems.
• Experience with broadcast automation platforms and monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Dry Creek NOC infrastructure and monitoring.
• Support Local Station Master Control Origination and Distribution.
• Monitor and resolve issues affecting origination and distribution workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support.
• Implement software upgrades and system expansions.
