Job summary

Advisors Excel is seeking a Senior Video Producer to lead video projects from concept through filming, editing, and final delivery for corporate initiatives, advisor marketing, and events. You will collaborate with our Creative Services team, mentor junior producers and interns, and ensure high production standards across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional video production experience including filming, directing, editing, and post-production.
• Proficiency with a professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, or comparable software.
• Experience managing video projects from pre-production through final delivery.
• Knowledge of motion graphics, audio mixing, color correction, and multi-platform formats.
• Strong storytelling, visual composition, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and multi-project management abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, produce, shoot, and direct video content for corporate initiatives, financial advisor marketing, client campaigns, events, and special projects.
• Manage video projects from concept to completion, including planning, scheduling, production logistics, editing, and final delivery.
• Lead pre-production by coordinating with clients, developing story concepts, preparing interview questions, creating shot lists, and organizing equipment and resources.
• Operate professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment to capture high-quality footage in studio, office, event, and on-location environments.
• Edit and finish video content using professional post-production tools, including motion graphics, animation, sound design, color correction, audio mixing, and final exports.
• Repurpose existing footage and adapt content for multiple platforms, audiences, and formats, including short-form and social media video.
• Review video projects for creative quality, technical accuracy, brand consistency, and alignment with project goals.
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to other video producers and interns, helping strengthen their skills and maintain high production standards.
• Serve as a video production resource for Creative Services and Account Management, guiding on creative approaches, timelines, and feasibility.
• Partner with the Video Art Director and other teams to improve workflows, collaboration, and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to develop new video offerings and creative solutions for advisor needs and evolving marketing strategies.

Overview

Do you love turning creative ideas into compelling video content? At Advisors Excel, our Creative Services team helps financial advisors connect with their audiences through impactful marketing and storytelling. As a Senior Video Producer, you'll lead projects from concept through filming, editing, and final delivery, creating content for corporate initiatives, advisor marketing, digital campaigns, and events.

You'll collaborate with creative teammates, share your expertise with other producers and interns, and help elevate the quality of our video production. This position works onsite 2–3 days per week in our Topeka, KS, office, with the remaining days in our Lenexa, KS, office. This is not a remote position.

Experience You’ll Bring

• 3–5 years of professional video production experience, including filming, directing, editing, and post-production.
• Proficiency with a professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects, or comparable professional editing and motion graphics software.
• Experience managing video projects from pre-production through final delivery.
• Knowledge of motion graphics, audio mixing, color correction, and preparing content for multiple platforms and formats.
• Strong storytelling, visual composition, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and changing priorities.

You’ll Stand Out If You Have

• Experience in an advertising agency, in-house marketing department, or client-service creative environment.
• Experience mentoring junior producers, interns, or other creative team members.
• Experience creating content for social media, digital marketing campaigns, and live events.
• Familiarity with collaborative review platforms, digital asset management, and AI-assisted creative tools.
• A bachelor's degree in film, video production, communications, marketing, or a related field.
